Trisha surprises Tamannah

We all know that Trisha was almost replaced by Tamannah as the number one in Tamil (Kollywood) film industry. We even heard a lot in the past about Trisha's friendship with Shriya and Nayan (Nayan is no more Trisha's friend, which is a different story altogether). It appears that she want to befriend with Tamannah now.

Recently Tamannah and Trisha were invited for a party in Mumbai. They never met each other before even though they have been ruling South Indian industry. When Tamannah saw Trisha eye-to-eye, she wanted to avoid problems and hence moved away from Trisha. However Trisha called Tamannah, and introduced herself to her. She also appreciated Tamannah about her performance in 'Kanden Kadhalai' movie which is a remake of the blockbuster Hindi movie 'Jab we met'. The gorgeous girls spent some time together and when they had to leave they hugged each other tightly and kissed.

Manisha encounters Aishwarya

Manisha is reentering bollywood film industry - however, not as a heroine but as a villainess bahu in a film where Jaya Bachhan acts as the sasu. Nevertheless, she was asked if she is comforable to play villainess against Jaya's original bahu Aishwarya Rai. She has reportedly say 'yes' to that. Her next film is going to be with Aishwarya Rai. As the story is appeared to be a triangular love story, she may have to encounter Aishwarya face to face.

Just a old news! Aishwarya was originally approached by the director Mani Ratnam for the mega hit movie 'Bombay' in which Manisha played the heroine. Since then there were many attempts to make both Manisha and Aishwarya to play together in the movies. All those attempts failed. Lets wait and watch till 2010.

Namitha vs Mumaith Khan

Everyone knows that Namitha started losing a lot of Tamil movies offer to Mumaith Khan. The latest news is that both of them will act together in a movie, which is believed to be the remake of "Mundru Mugam". The original film had Super star Rajinikant in three roles. Radhika played the heroine; in the remake movie Namitha will play that role. In the original film, Silk had an equivalent role like heroine and she played villainess role. In the new movie, Mumaith Khan will play that role, it appears. The original movie had two cat fights between Radhika and Silk. Especially, the cat fight in the swimming pool is very popular. Now, the question is if the new movie will have similar cat fights between these two hot actresses? If yes, who will ensure that it doesn't become a real cat fight between these hot competitors?

Salman and Aamir together again

It was during 1994 when Salman Khan and Aamin Khan did a film together. Almost after fifteen years, it appears that they might do another film together. As they want to ensure that both of them get equal footage, they themselves will produce the film. Let's wait and watch!

Asin and Deepika

Asin and Deepika might be best friends. However, they recently refused to do a film together. They were approached for a film similar to that of 'Dostana' in which they were asked to do the roles similar to that of Abhishek and John.

Sri Devi and Aishwarya

There is an unconfirmed news about Aishwarya Rai. After completing Shankar's 'Endhiran' (in which Rajni plays hero) and Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan', she is going to act in a heroine subject movie. The story is going to be entirely different which Hindi film industry has never seen before. It is also believed that after much of hesitation Sri Devi has accepted to act in an important role in this movie.

Who would not love to watch the dream girl of 80's with the current (even though slightly older :-) ) dream girl? Let's see whether they get along with each other or getting into a cat fight.

Salman needs friends

Salman has enough foes in cine industry now, and he is looking for new friends. In fact, in a recent TV show, he praised Shahrukh like anything. It appears that he wants to patch up with Shahrukh once again. Let's see and hope for the best.

Comeback film for Goundamani

The audio for the film 'Jaggu Bhai' was released recently, in which K.S. Ravi Kumar (the director of the movie) claimed that this film will be the comeback movie for Goundamani. Four years back, when 'Baba' was released, it was claimed that it was the comeback movie for Goundamani. Two years back, there was a similar claim for a Satyaraj movie.

It seems every two years Goundamain keeps coming back and vanishes within one movie.

Rakhi and controversies

Rakhi Sawant is becoming popular due to controversies, or she is smart enough to create new controversies and utlizing them for her own popularity.

Three years back, no one knew who was Rakhi. It all started in a party where the singer reportedly kissed Rakhi. Rakhi blew the incident like anything and overnight she became a popular item girl and model.

She recently married a business man. That is not the great news. The news is that she had a swayanvar to select this guy and made a lot of other guys to sing and dance just to get rejected.

No one expected Rakhi would invite her rival item girl Sambhavna for her birth day party. When Sambhavna entered the hall, Rakhi called her 'witch'. Sambhavna returned the honour by calling Rakhi a 'bitch'. Rakhi became furious and was about to pull Sambhavna's hair. By that time, Sambhavna's friends pulled her outside just preventing a dirty catfight.

All of a sudden Rakhi kissed the model Kainas Pervees on her lip in a cinema set. The picture of Rakhi kissing Kainas has become the hot topic in several sites.

The latest controversy is that Rakhi is waiting to meet Namitha so that she can beat her up like anything. Namitha reportedly called Rakhi as an item girl in an interview. So, Rahi wants to teach Namitha a lesson.

Rakhi Sawant became very popular all over India recently after her swayanwar. Kollywood dream girl Namitha was asked if she would also follow Rakhi and choose a guy on swayanwar. She replied, "Rakhi is an item girl! And, I am a heroine. Don't ever compare me with an item girl!"

Salman among top 3 once again...

The success of the film "Wanted" is compared with the success of the film "Ghajini" by movie researchers. This film is definitely going to place Salman Khan among the top three Bollywood stars. The other two stars are of course Shahrukh Khan and Aamin Khan. The interesting point is Akhay Kumar's continuous failures in the recent past.

Sharukh in a Tamil film

The latest news or rather the rumour in the industry is that Shahrukh Khan is doing a Tamil film after almost a decade. (He previously did 'Hey Ram' along with Kamal Haasan). This time he is just doing a guest role though. It is believed that he appears in a guest role in Ajit's magnum opus film 'Asal' which will be released this year.

T.Rajendar dances for Perarasu's song

Just wait for two more months for the best entertainment of the year. T. Rajendar is going to do a 'kuttu' dance for the director Perarasu's song in his next film. This is going to be the best entertainment of the year for sure, as we all know about TR and Perarasu. :-)

Bipasha and Aishwarya together again?

We all know that Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai appeared together in "Dhoom 2" movie. Now, once again they are going to entertain us in another film - "Raavan". Yes, the recent entry in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus movie "Raavan" is Bipasha Basu.

Apparently, Sushmita Sen was approached by Mani for this role. However, Sushmita didn't want to appear along with Aishwarya and hence she turned down this offer.

Rumours about Raavan

There are lot of stories and rumours about Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Raavan'. Originally, it was told that Vikram was doing hero in Tamil and villian in Hindi. In Tamil version, Karthik would be doing the villian role. Then, there were news that Abhishek Bachhan who is doing a hero role in Hindi version would be doing the villian role in the Tamil verion of the movie. At last, there was a rumour that the young Malayalam actor Prithvi Raj would be doing the villian role in the Tamil verion of 'Raavan' movie.

Similarly, there were rumours such as Simran would be acting in the movie and working as assisstant director in the movie. There was a news that Nayantara would do the villianess in the movie. Now, Priya Mani appears to do that role. Still, it is not clear if Abhishek is there in the Tamil version too.

Nothing is clear about the movie. The only constant news which never got changed is that Aishwarya Rai doing the heroine in the movie. Fans keep their fingers crossed to know the real news about the movies.

Is it so, Simran?

There is a rumour that Simran plays mother-in-law of Dhanush. When Simran was asked about this, she said "What's wrong on this? I didn't get any offers though. However, if I get I will definitely play that role."

Vijay enter politics?

After MGR, Sivaji, Rajini, and Vijayakanth, it is Vijay's turn to try politics now. There have been rumours for the past 2-3 years that he might be joining DMK or he might be starting his own party. Now, there is a new rumour on his political career. He met Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi and there is a likelihood for him to join Congress.

Who knows? Congress might feel that it needs boost in Tamil Nadu politics. Lets wait and watch.

An interesting fight - Sneha vs. Shriya

Shriya always has tough time whenever she wants to rule Kollywood cinema. In the beginning there were Trisha and Nayantara to compete. Now she gets competition not from a younger actress, but from a senior actress, Sneha.

Sneha was approached by the director K.S.Ravi Kumar to act opposite Sarath Kumar in the film 'Juggu Bhai' (Rajinikanth was supposed to act in this film originally). She knew that she would be the pair for senior Sarath and Shriya will do the pair of junior Sarath in the film. However, she never knew that she would need to appear as the mother of Shriya in the same screen. The moment she came to know that there are combination scenes she dropped herself from the film.

When Sneha was asked about the reason for opting out of the film, she simply said "I don't want to do a mother role for a person who is older than me." Now, she has slimmed down a lot and she has challenged Shriya to give a tough competition.

All the best, Selva - Sonia Agarwal

The recent sad news in the Tamil film industry is about Sonia Agarwal's decision to divorce her husband, the famous film directory Selva Raghavan. Sonia says she wants to act in the films again. When asked about Selva, she wishes him all the best for his magnum opus 'Aayirathil Oruvan'. She is very keen to watch that movie like anyone else in Tamil Nadu, she adds. In future there is a possibility for her to work with Selva again, she says. She will remain as a good friend for Selva, she claims.

When asked if Andrea is the reason for her divorce and her alleged quarrel with her in the 'Aayirathil Oruvan' shooting, she says "No comments!". (She didn't deny the news though. :-) )

Karthik in father roles

After Prabhu, it's Karthik's turn now to do character roles. There is a rumour that Karthik, the romantic hero of 1980s of Tamil cinema will act as the father of Jayam Ravi in a new film.

Simran vs. Aishwarya Rai

All of us know very well that Aishwarya Rai is not good at maintaining good relationships with her colleagues, especially actresses. Her rivalry with Rani Mukherjee is known to the entire world. Her recent fight with Preeti Zinta has also become very popular. However, only few people know about her rivalry with Simran, who used to rule the South Indian cinema once.

Even though Ash is the no. 1 Bollywood actress today, she got introduced in a Tamil film named Iruvar. Simran got introduced in Hindi and after some failure movies, she moved to south. It was the time when Ash was introduced. She was in dilemma between Tamil and Hindi movies.

Both of them were asked to act in a film opposite the Tamil actor Prashant. Each of them was not very comfortable with other's role and they were skeptical about the importance of own role. Even though the film got dropped with just half month's shooting, both of them would never forget the fight they had during the shooting, it seems. There was a scene in which Aishwarya had to slap Simran, and she really slapped Simran. Simran got furious and was ready for a real cat fight. It was the director who pacified both of them and avoided the fight between these two beauty queens.

Aishwarya and Simran never got a chance to work together again. It was only recently when Simran wanted to assist director Mani Ratnam in the film 'Ravan', there appeared to be a chance for both of them to work together. However, it seems the heroine of the film Aishwarya was not comfortable with Simran still. So, Simran had to quit the film.

Even though Simran has become aunt, it will still be good to see both of them together in the same film.
